Led research, defined and pitched the product vision, and designed and shipped an internal operations platform supporting the pharmacy team behind Waltz Connect.
Overview
Waltz Health was scaling Waltz Connect, its AI-backed specialty drug savings product, and the pharmacy operations team needed internal infrastructure to match. I led discovery research, pitched a custom platform to leadership, and designed it end-to-end. The MVP is shipped and is now in active daily use.
Impact

What I took away
Workarounds aren't workflows
Users build personal systems to survive complex tools. These adaptations look like process, but they're often quiet signals of where the design is failing. Asking why repeatedly is how you tell the difference.
Some friction is the design
In high-stakes systems, frictionless isn't always safer. Intentional pauses, confirmations, and slowdowns at critical decisions protect users from the errors that smooth flows quietly enable. Knowing where to slow people down is as important as knowing where to speed them up.
Design for when the data lies
Systems built on uncertain data need to communicate that uncertainty, not hide it. When the interface signals what it isn't sure about, users make better decisions, and the trust they place in the system becomes earned rather than assumed.
